We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead (Sitecore) to provide technical leadership across the design, delivery, and optimisation of Sitecore-based digital experiences. You will guide engineering standards, shape solution architecture, and work closely with product, UX, and delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Sitecore solutions, from discovery and architecture through to build, release, and support.
- Own technical direction, coding standards, and best practice across the team; conduct code reviews and mentor engineers.
- Design and implement integrations with internal and third-party systems using APIs and event-driven patterns where appropriate.
- Drive performance, resilience, accessibility, and security improvements; ensure compliance with OWASP and secure SDLC practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into pragmatic technical solutions and delivery plans.
- Oversee CI/CD, environment management, and release governance; improve automation and developer experience.
- Support incident management and root-cause analysis; establish monitoring and operational runbooks.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience delivering Sitecore (XM/XP) solutions, including Sitecore Helix principles and multi-site implementations.
- Expertise in .NET/C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience with Sitecore JSS and/or headless architectures (e.g., Sitecore Headless Services) and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Next.js desirable).
- Solid knowledge of Azure and cloud-native patterns (App Service, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, CDN); infrastructure as code experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar), Git branching strategies, and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of content management, search, personalisation, analytics, and marketing technology concepts.
- Experience designing secure, scalable architectures, including authentication/authorisation (OAuth2/OIDC) and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills, able to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making.
Desirable
- Sitecore certifications and experience with Sitecore Experience Edge, CDP, Personalize, or DAM.
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and observability (Application Insights, logging/metrics/tracing).
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery environments.
