Role Overview: The Vice President - Senior Wealth Planner plays a critical role within the wealth management team, overseeing the delivery of personalised financial planning and investment advice to high‑net‑worth clients. The role involves strategic relationship management, technical expertise, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience. This position supports the organisation's broader objectives of providing sophisticated, planning‑led advice aligned with regulatory and risk management standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Financial planning qualification at RDR Level 4 or above, including certification in advising on packaged products
- Proven experience offering personalised financial planning and investment advice
- Strong knowledge of pensions and GIA, with the ability to win new business for the bank
- Confident in using digital tools to support client engagement and decision‑making
- FCA‑approved status (or eligibility) with a focus on compliance and risk management
- Experience working collaboratively across teams and networks to grow and retain client relationships
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage senior client relationships, understanding financial goals, risk appetite, and long‑term planning needs
- Deliver tailored financial planning, investment, and wealth management solutions aligned with client objectives
- Provide expert guidance on investments, risk management, and market developments
- Analyse client portfolios, cash flow, and external factors to identify opportunities and risks
- Communicate and justify recommendations clearly, ensuring solutions meet both client and business needs
- Maintain strong governance, risk, and regulatory discipline, ensuring accurate documentation of all client interactions
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality client service
