I’m delighted to be partnered with an established Social Housing provider based in Cheshire. They’re looking to hire a Head of Finance Business Partnering to work with the Finance Director and lead the Finance Business Partnering team. The Head of Finance Business Partnering will be required to challenge, influence and support all internal budget holders and work with external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direction, development, and management of the Finance Business Partner team (both revenue and capital expenditure)
  • Lead in the provision of support to budget holders and stakeholders
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation and overall review of budgets and input into the Business Plan
  • Oversee the production of monthly budget holder information and Financial Performance report, including reforecasts and maximising the capability and capacity of the Business Partnering team
  • Lead on automation of reports, systems and efficiencies within the Finance Service, leading the team through a period of change

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Accountant – recognised accounting qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA
  • Previous experience of working in the Housing Sector
  • Advanced Excel skills – financial modelling
  • Excellent communicator, able to communicate and present financial information to non‑finance experts
  • Strong IT skills with experience of automation and creating efficiencies

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Substantial accountancy experience within a similar highly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience of leading a business partnering team and culture
  • Demonstrated experience of leading a team through change
  • Understanding of financial IT systems – e.g. Open Accounts
  • Thorough knowledge of financial accounting and financial control
