We've partnered with a growing consultancy who are hiring a Senior Business Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting engagements across Housing Associations—with a focus on HMS transformation and implementation. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone with exposure to upgrades and implementations of housing products. This person will be collaborative, supportive of team development, and comfortable building strong client relationships.
What you’ll be working on:
- HMS / systems procurement & implementation support
- IT, digital and data strategy work (incl. target operating models, roadmaps)
- Application portfolio and system reviews (often repairs-focused)
- Repairs & asset management advisory (regulatory and compliance-driven change)
- Data platform direction and migrations (e.g., Microsoft Fabric / Databricks—advisory/SME, not hands-on build)
- Enterprise architecture, process / capability reviews
What you’ll do:
- Lead and deliver client engagements with limited escalation
- Own project delivery: quality, stakeholder comms, planning/prioritisation
- Strengthen client relationships and help identify follow-on opportunities
- Support junior consultants (coaching, feedback, knowledge sharing)
- Contribute to improving delivery ways of working and internal standards
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Strong experience delivering advisory / change engagements in the Housing sector
- Good understanding of HA operations, technology landscape and regulatory drivers
- Confident leading workshops, managing stakeholders, and owning deliverables end-to-end
- Experience across HMS transformation / implementation (end-to-end is highly desirable)
Nice to have:
- Broader Microsoft ecosystem understanding: M365, Azure, AI strategy / Copilot guidance
- Repairs systems knowledge (e.g., Totalmobile, DRS, Plentific)
Working pattern & travel:
Hybrid setup; this will mainly be a remote set up, with travel to customer sites (all paid for). Some overnight travel may be required depending on client need.
Benefits:
- Unlimited holiday
- 5% matched pension
- Healthcare scheme
Interview process:
- Stage 1: Intro conversation (remote or in-person)
- Stage 2: In-person session (Manchester/ London) including a short written exercise
