Senior Claims Executive
An established specialist insurer is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Executive to deliver a high-quality claims and advisory service across the ports, terminals, transport and logistics sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage complex claims within agreed authority levels, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and strategic advice to members, brokers and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee key client accounts and escalate significant claims issues when required.
- Support business retention, new business development and wider underwriting activity.
- Deliver training and mentor junior colleagues.
- Contribute to loss-prevention initiatives and represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified lawyer or law degree holder; legal practice experience is highly desirable.
- Strong litigation experience, ideally representing or defending insurers in complex disputes.
- Significant claims-handling experience across marine, ports, terminals, transport or logistics.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Commercial, analytical and solutions-focused approach.
- Awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to travel for client, broker and supplier meetings.
