Our client is hiring an Assistant Claims Handler to kick-start a long-term career in Financial Lines Claims. Working within a high-performing Financial Lines Core Claims team, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals in a supportive environment while building technical expertise across key product areas. Role Overview
As an Assistant Claims Handler, you’ll support the handling of Financial Lines claims under supervision, helping ensure files are managed accurately and promptly while maintaining professional communication with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the handling of Financial Lines claims under supervision, including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers (D&O), and related products
- Review claim documentation, policy wordings, and related materials
- Communicate professionally with brokers, clients, insurers, and external partners/stakeholders
- Ensure claims are handled in line with approved authority level, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Proactively manage claim files, ensuring documentation is correctly filed and claims are regularly updated, diarised, and managed proactively
- Support the prompt, fair, and integrity-led handling of claims in accordance with our client’s claims management guidelines
- Maintain a portfolio of Financial Lines TPA/DCA loss breakdowns and payments
- Maintain high standards of communication with claims management and underwriting, helping share information on significant claims and claims trends
- Liaise with other departments as appropriate, including Underwriting, Finance, Actuaries, and Reinsurance
- Attend market claim meetings as required
