Our client is an established Housing Association based in Liverpool. They are looking to hire a Finance Business Partner, to work alongside the Property & Repairs team and report into the Head of Finance. The successful Finance Business Partner will bring full visibility to the cost drivers and financial performance of the repairs service, linking in the 30 Year Business Plan, annual budgets and forecasts to provide clarity to the Finance and Property teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a pro‑active business partnering service to the Property team.
  • Establish a new reporting regime for monitoring the financial performance of the repairs service.
  • Meet with budget holders and Senior Stakeholders within the business monthly to translate financial reporting.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget, providing variance analysis and supporting delivery of corrective action plans.
  • Proactively undertake financial planning and analysis as required.
  • Provide support and training on a range of finance related issues.
  • Support the Property team with the completeness and accuracy of property‑related systems and data.
  • Lead on the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of the financial reporting to management, the Board and external stakeholders.
  • Support budget holders within the Property team with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with the Head of Finance to ensure the Business Plan is updated to include all costs managed by the Property team.
  • Lead on reporting to the Investment and Development Committee in relation to all costs managed by the Property team.
  • Review and strengthen financial controls within the Repairs team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in working with property and repairs functions in a Housing Association or similar environment.
  • A recognised accounting qualification; ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA.
  • Experience in using Xledger ERP and ActiveH or similar Finance and Housing systems, is desirable but not essential.
