Our client is preparing for a major sector reform by designing and implementing the processes needed to facilitate student loan payments under the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE). This is an opportunity to help shape robust operational models, ensuring accurate, compliant, and student‑centred activity from day one. In this role, you’ll lead end‑to‑end development of LLE processes, translate emerging regulatory requirements into practical operations, and play a key part in safeguarding institutional income while strengthening compliance and service quality.
The purpose of this role is to act as our organisation’s technical expert on LLE funding policy, leading the design, development, and implementation of operational processes and training so the institution is ready to deliver a reliable, accurate funding service during significant policy change.
Key Skills & Experience- Experience translating emerging regulatory requirements into operational models
- Strong process design and end‑to‑end process development capability
- Knowledge of data flows and system configuration related to funding operations
- Data skills using SQL, Excel, and Alteryx
- Familiarity with Ellucian (student management system) and Banner systems
- Ability to coordinate training across multiple stakeholder groups
- Lead end‑to‑end development of LLE processes, including data flows, system configuration, and integration interactions with the Student Loans Company system
- Translate emerging regulatory requirements into robust operational models to ensure readiness for accurate, compliant, student‑centred LLE activity
- Work closely with Digital Services, school‑based teams, the Student Loans Company, and the student management system supplier to ensure alignment of processes
- Ensure effective risk management during a period of significant policy change
- Coordinate training for staff involved in student funding to support delivery of new LLE requirements alongside existing responsibilities
- Conduct proactive horizon scanning, drive continuous improvement, and support institutional readiness
- Represent the institution in sector forums and provide authoritative guidance and training to colleagues
- Foster strong internal and external partnerships to support effective adaptation to LLE
- Experience in translating regulatory requirements into operational models
- Demonstrable capability in end‑to‑end process development and process design
- Data capability including SQL, Excel, and Alteryx
- Familiarity with Ellucian and Banner systems
- Ability to coordinate staff training across the organisation
