Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of BI & Analytics, the Data Architect will be responsible for designing and managing the organisation’s data architecture strategy. This role involves shaping data standards, establishing governance policies, and collaborating across teams to implement a comprehensive data future-state strategy, bridging technology and data functions.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven background in data modeling, integration, or governance
- Familiarity with SQL Server/Oracle, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and data modeling tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Demonstrates authenticity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop the organisation’s data architecture strategy and maturity plans
- Establish data standards, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and security
- Partner with cross-functional teams and represent Data in the Architecture Review Board
- Coach and line manage a Junior Data Architect, providing leadership and guidance
- Turn existing data flows into a comprehensive, strategic data future plan
Requirements
- Experience in a similar data modeling, governance, or integration role
- Familiarity with SQL Server/Oracle and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Location in or near Greater London and Kent, with ability to work onsite in a hybrid setting
- Right to work in the UK
