They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support change initiatives focused on Bordereaux and control management within General Insurance and the Lloyd’s market. This role is vital in ensuring robust management controls, effective stakeholder engagement, and clear governance, enabling the organisation to maintain operational excellence and compliance.

Role Overview

The Business Analyst will facilitate requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to support Bordereaux-related change projects. The role involves translating complex business needs into clear documentation, performing GAP analysis, and supporting control frameworks, thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business goals.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven Business Analyst experience within the insurance sector, particularly in General Insurance or Lloyd’s market
  • Demonstrable experience with Bordereaux processes and related data controls
  • Strong GAP analysis skills and ability to define target-state solutions
  • Senior stakeholder management experience, with confidence in influencing and challenging at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and sign-off of business needs
  • Conduct GAP analysis of current versus future state processes, data, and controls
  • Support Bordereaux data quality, validation, reconciliation, and reporting activities
  • Assess and improve management control processes, including design, operation, and monitoring
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, process mapping, and user story refinement
  • Define and document business processes, operating models, and governance artefacts
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and stakeholder communication
  • Produce documentation such as BRDs/FRDs, process flows, data mappings, control matrices, and RAID logs

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry, with specific General Insurance or Lloyd’s market knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Bordereaux and related controls
  • Ability to perform GAP analysis and define future state solutions
  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • Right to work in the UK and able to work on-site in London near Liverpool Street

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Business Process governance and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Experience with operational risk, audit, or compliance controls
