I’m delighted to be partnered with a well-established Housing Association based in West Yorkshire.

They’re looking to hire a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the central Finance team and report into the Head of Finance.

This is a key role supporting financial performance and strategic planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with Directors, Heads of Service, senior leaders and represent finance in management team meetings, internal and external forums.
  • Mentor two Assistant Accountants
  • Opportunity to influence budgets, forecasting, management reporting, rent and service charge processes, value for money and business cases.
  • Lead, manage and develop the finance business partnering team, providing clear objectives, regular supervision, coaching and support.
  • Lead all aspects of Budgeting, forecasting, management accounts reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with Directors, Heads of Service, budget holders.
  • Provide financial insight, constructive challenge and practical decision support to senior leadership.
  • Lead the annual budget setting process, in year forecasting and management accounting across all service areas.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Support rent and service charge setting, including assumptions, budgets, policy compliance and regulatory considerations.
  • Support value for money reporting, business cases, financial modelling, option appraisals and scenario analysis.
  • Work collaboratively across finance to improve reporting, planning, systems, processes and financial management.
  • DESIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in housing, property, not for profit or another regulated environment.
  • A qualified accountant or finalist with ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA studies.
  • Experience in rent setting, service charges, RSH returns.
