IT Applications Support Manager
Location: West Yorkshire - hybrid
Role Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: £60,000 (potential flexibility)
Applications Support Manager required on a Permanent basis, to lead the second- and third-line support operations across a dynamic, enterprise-level application landscape.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead & Support: Mentor, guide, and develop a team of Applications Support Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
- Ensure Operational Resilience: Own the management of incidents, problems, and trends to maintain high availability and performance across core application services.
- Cross-Practice Collaboration: Work closely with Change Management, Service Transition, and Engineering teams to ensure new services are operationally ready and supportable.
- Drive Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, optimize application lifecycles, and drive shift-left initiatives with the IT Service Desk.
- Supplier Management: Partner with third-party software vendors and partners to align roadmap goals and manage operational delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience leading an IT applications or technical support team within a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
- Strong technical grasp of enterprise applications across SaaS, PaaS, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
- Deep familiarity with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Transition).
- Hands‑on expertise in log analysis, scripting, application logic, data flow, and transactional monitoring.
- Outstanding communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and calm leadership under pressure.
This is a brand-new role for the technology function. Therefore, this is a great chance to make the role your own and be a major force in how the business views technology.
