The Role
As a VAT Partner at Gravita, you will play an integral role in expanding our VAT advisory offerings. Your role is designed to leverage your deep VAT expertise to guide clients through the intricate landscape of VAT regulations, ensuring innovative, compliant, and optimised solutions.
You won’t be working in isolation – you will be part of an established team of VAT experts, collaborating closely with another VAT Partner. Your combined expertise will help guide clients through the intricate landscape of VAT regulations, ensuring innovative, compliant, and optimised solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth:
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance Gravita’s VAT service offerings and boost our market presence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and your partner VAT expert to integrate VAT insights into broader business strategies.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, becoming their dedicated go-to VAT specialist.
- Oversee the delivery of comprehensive VAT advisory services, ensuring excellence in both compliance and client satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
- Keep abreast of evolving VAT regulations to ensure robust risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Drive improvements in workflows and service delivery processes to achieve greater efficiency and better client outcomes.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Gravita’s strategic objectives.
- Represent the firm at industry events and networking functions to enhance our reputation and expand our client base.
- Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification with significant post-qualification experience in VAT advisory services.
- Proven experience in a senior VAT role, ideally at partner level or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of UK and EU VAT legislation and its application across various industries.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and business development.

The Nitty Gritty
- Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based)
- Core working hours are 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday
