We’re a full service, tech-enabled firm, working with entrepreneurs and businesses to help them achieve their goals, and make an impact in the world. We’re growing fast and are bringing like-minded advisors together to form a full-service tech-enabled accounting partner for thousands of SMEs. Our team use their incredible expertise alongside intuitive technology to help businesses and entrepreneurs plan better and grow faster. Our mission is to become the UK’s leading tech-enabled accounting firm for SMEs. We have ambitious goals and our high-calibre team work hard to achieve them. We are one team with one agenda, working collaboratively in a respectful environment to deliver a great service to our clients. So if you join us, you’ll not only be working on exciting client challenges, you’ll also be helping us shape the future of accounting.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Associate to join our Exeter team in a dual role across Operations and Places (office operations). This is an office based role, working 5 days a week from the Exeter office. Alongside running key operational processes and supporting the day-to-day office environment, you’ll play an active role in improving how things work: identifying inefficiencies, suggesting better approaches, and supporting the use of data, technology and AI to make our operations more effective. You’ll be a key part of the local team, acting as a go-to problem solver and coordinator, while also contributing to wider initiatives across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Operations (approx. 50%)
    • Managing client on-boarding processes, including AML and KYC checks
    • Preparing and managing Letters of Engagement and disengagement documentation
    • Setting up and maintaining accurate client records across systems
    • Supporting client-facing teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
    • Acting as a central point of coordination to resolve issues and keep work moving
  • Places / Exeter office (approx. 50%)
    • Ensuring the office runs smoothly and professionally day-to-day
    • Acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors
    • Coordinating meetings, rooms, hospitality and diaries
    • Managing suppliers, office supplies and facilities
    • Supporting local engagement activities and events
    • Maintaining records and supporting Health & Safety processes
    • Improving how we operate
    • Spotting inefficiencies or friction in existing processes
    • Suggesting and supporting improvements (including automation and use of AI tools)
    • Helping to build or maintain simple reporting to track activity and performance
    • Contributing to firmwide initiatives (e.g. onboarding improvements, data projects, LoE refreshes)

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is experienced in operations, administration, or client on-boarding (ideally in a professional services environment) is helpful but mindset is key.
  • Enjoys solving problems, not just completing tasks
  • Naturally looks for better ways of doing things
  • Takes ownership and follows things through
  • Is curious about how systems, processes and tools work
  • Is comfortable with change and open to new technologies
  • Can balance attention to detail with the bigger picture
