Associate Manager, Outsourcing – Open to Part Time

The Role

As an Outsourcing Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence for our clients in a fast-paced dynamic team. From providing expert guidance on VAT returns to assisting with the preparation and review of management accounts, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial insights.

With a focus on client satisfaction, you will build and maintain strong relationships, addressing issues and offering innovative solutions. From overseeing outsourcing functions to conducting cash flow forecasting, you will be at the forefront of delivering impactful financial services. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in client management, and possess a deep understanding of both bookkeeping processes and VAT regulations, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake VAT return reviews and provide expert advice on VAT-related matters.
  • Assist with the completion and analysis of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance, working with and managing offshore partners.
  • Assisting with leading and managing a team of accountants, some of whom work remotely, allocating tasks, and providing guidance and support.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, addressing issues, and providing strategic solutions.
  • Conduct cash flow and financial forecasting projects on an ad-hoc basis, offering recommendations for operational cash flow management.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT or similar) with at least 3 years experience.
  • Previous experience of working in a similar position in an accountancy practice.
  • Excellent Xero and Excel skills and experience of other software such as Dext, Silverfin or Syft
  • Strong administrative (i.e. time and project management) and presentational skills

  • Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based).
  • Core working hours are 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday.
