The Group Director, People, Culture and Communications is responsible for developing and delivering a strategic internal communications and engagement framework that aligns with the firm’s strategic direction, vision and values. This role requires an experienced leader who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and is used to wearing multiple hats at any one point.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and own compelling content across multiple channels (CEO comms, intranet, newsletters, leadership calls, offsite conferences, People Manager Calls, All‑Hands Calls), liaising and often supporting with marketing and external comms.
- Lead Places team across all offices, to focus on efficient/effective facilities management and increased connection and engagement.
- Increase engagement across the business, measured in twice‑yearly survey.
- Partner with senior leaders to cascade key messages related to key programmes and initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor at Exec level on communication best practices, particularly with sensitive issues.
- Develop and execute engagement programmes, including recognition schemes, and cultural initiatives.
- Own and manage Gravita recognition programme.
- Sponsor and oversee our newly established DEI Committee.
- Lead ESG programme and targets, plus quarterly updates to Board.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, inclusive, and aligned with brand tone and values.
- Advising on M&A strategies, cultural integration, and managing announcement comms.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related field – Head of or Director equivalent.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in change management and strategic planning.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
