The Role
Kickstart your career with Gravesham Borough Council as a Waste Management Unit Business Administration Apprentice! If you're organised, motivated, and ready to gain hands‑on experience in a busy local government team, this could be the perfect role for you.
You will be responsible to the Commercial Waste & Projects Manager and you will assist in the administration of the day‑to‑day operations and development of the Waste Management Unit. You will work as part of a busy team offering administrative support to the department while engaging with and responding to customer and colleague enquiries, to support the day‑to‑day operations and development of the Waste Management Unit.
While doing so, you will work‑based evidence towards the completion of a BTEC Diploma Business Administration Level 3.
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent A-C grade
- Working knowledge of a wide range of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and charting software
- Ability to multi‑task and deal with interruptions
- Ability to follow guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of Gravesham Borough Council and the services it provides
- An awareness of good customer service
- A good telephone manner
- Be a good team player
