The role
We are looking for a motivated individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude, appetite for learning, and excellent communication skills to join our Licensing Service. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and interesting administrative workload in this forward thinking and innovative team and play a key role in supporting the functions of the Gravesham and Medway Shared Licensing Service. The council operates a Hybrid Working Policy where officers can work from home and attend the office on a minimum of two days per week, depending on their role and the needs of the service. The successful candidate will however be expected to attend the office on a more frequent basis initially for on-boarding and training.

About you
The successful candidate will have a good level of general education and have strong organisational, time management, communication and IT skills with a solution-focussed attitude. You will be a team-player, but also someone who is reliable and able to carry out administrative tasks under pressure and with minimum supervision in due course. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in an administrative and/or local authority licensing position, hold a qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., licensing, admin, business, I.T., etc.) and have experience of using the IDOX Uniform software; however prior experience, qualifications and knowledge are not essential for the right person who is keen and able to learn, and undertake training as may be required.
