The Role

Ready to make a difference for households experiencing homelessness? GBC Lettings, the Council's social letting agency, is recruiting an experienced administrator to assist the team. You will be providing an effective, customer friendly service to landlords, tenants, and clients experiencing homelessness. The role will be varied, including preparing tenancy paperwork, solving maintenance problems, processing invoices, and administering loans and grants under the Rent Deposit Scheme.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Great communication skills with a range of audiences.
  • The ability to work independently within defined procedures.
  • Organised with good attention to detail in an administrative role.
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits and homelessness legislation.
  • Experience working with vulnerable households including young people.
  • Experience working in a busy environment and dealing with difficult customers.
