About the role

You will deliver a responsive, empathetic, and professional front‑line customer support service, ensuring an exceptional standard of service at all times. A key part of the role involves assessing and verifying new applications to the Housing Register in line with Gravesham's Allocations Scheme, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing the advertising and shortlisting of all social housing properties. This job description serves as a working document and outlines the core responsibilities of the post. As the service evolves, whether through changes in legislation, council policies, or operational practices, the role is expected to adapt accordingly. The post holder will be encouraged to contribute to and support the development of these improvements.

About you

Essential experience
  • Good, proven, standard of written English with 4 GCSEs grade C (or equivalent) and above including English and Maths
  • Good knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and other related legislation
  • Not required but it is desirable to have a full driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle for business purposes
