Hours: 37 hours per week

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Community Involvement Officer to help strengthen relationships with local communities, businesses, and key stakeholders across the borough. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by delivering engagement activities and supporting events that bring people together.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, businesses, and partners.
  • Deliver engagement activities, including network meetings and high‑profile events.
  • Manage digital engagement tools such as GoVocal and maintain community information directories.
  • Monitor outcomes from engagement activities and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Identify and promote community projects that encourage participation and empowerment.
  • Administer Community Grants and Community Awards.
  • Support partners and businesses in achieving social value outcomes.

About you

  • A confident communicator, with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in producing and presenting information in various formats, including reports and presentations.
  • IT proficient, with strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experienced in facilitating meetings and working collaboratively to deliver projects or events.
  • Comfortable engaging with the community to build relationships and support local initiatives.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
