Would you like the opportunity to work as part of a team of highly experienced and ambitious colleagues? Graveney is an extremely popular and successful 11-18 School, located in South West London, SW17 with the benefit of being situated in beautiful campus style surroundings with excellent facilities and a warm community atmosphere. We have a commitment to providing the best opportunities to all students and to developing the professional skills and career aspirations of our staff, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Designated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and widely recognised as one of the top 100 state funded schools in the country. We wish to appoint dynamic and innovative teachers within a popular and over-subscribed multi-ethnic school firmly committed to language learning. The candidates should be able to teach 2 of the 3 languages we offer (Spanish, French, German), both subjects to GCSE and at least one to A level. French and Spanish are taught throughout Key Stage 3 -5, and German is offered as an additional language. Most students study a foreign language up to GCSE. Exam results at all levels in the department are well above national averages. All languages are successful at GCSE and popular ‘A’ level subjects.

We employ language assistants, have dedicated classrooms, and a computer suite. We are committed to providing the best opportunities for all students and the continuing development of professional skills and career opportunities for our valued staff. Applications are welcome from both ECTs and teachers with more experience. Our standard loading factor is 22/26. Where timetables comprise fewer than 22 teaching periods (or the agreed number for TLR post holders), you will be required to cover other classes.
