We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our structured estimating team. You’ll work alongside the Estimating Manager to produce accurate, high-quality tenders across a variety of building services projects. The role involves interpreting drawings and specifications, preparing compliant bids using Amtech (Estimation) and Trimble ContractMaster, managing enquiries, and attending site and client meetings. Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills are essential, along with proven knowledge of electrical services and estimating within the construction or engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Electrical Estimating Manager and fellow estimators as part of a structured team.
  • Read and understand employer’s requirements for each project.
  • Read and interpret engineering specifications and project scope.
  • Accurately measure and take off quantities from engineering drawings.
  • Transpose data into estimating software (Amtech Estimation).
  • Send out enquiries and analyse quotations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry qualifications (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent) are required, with an engineering degree or professional memberships desirable.
  • Relevant experience with electrical estimating in the construction or engineering sectors is preferred.
