The Company Graticules Optics is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of optical components and electroformed foils, with over 70 years’ experience in the production of precision engineered micro-patterns.
The Role involves working within a warehouse environment with a growing Optical company. The duties will include:
- Picking and packing of outgoing customer orders, ensuring a high quality of service for all customers.
- Dealing with goods in, stock rotation, cycle stock counting, using the computer system to ensure accurate stock levels at all times.
- Processing order releases, calibration requirements, RMA’s, etc. as necessary.
- Sending goods within the UK and Worldwide, using major courier services and ensuring smooth customs clearance of goods and HMRC processing.
- Carrying out any other appropriate activities as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ability to work to a very high standard; attention to detail is very important.
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
- Carrying out basic goods-in inspection processing.
- Communicating courteously with customers by telephone and email, and being good at investigating and solving problems.
- Using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP and courier portals.
- Implementing new company practices as directed by senior management and championing good communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work clean and tidily. Full training will be given.
Hours of work are 35 hrs per week fitting in with our 9-day fortnight scheme, so you have every other Friday off in addition to 21 days holiday per year + all bank holidays. 7 hrs 47 minutes for each of the 9 days (7.77 hours per day).
