Hours: 38 per week plus two sleep ins

Responsibilities:

  • Support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of our young people at Gratia Cura Residential.
  • Encourage decision making and provide choices by following communication strategies to ensure young people have a voice.
  • Implement individualised care plans for the best outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of personal care and hygiene.
  • Support educational activities in classroom settings and supervise young people in various environments.
  • Adhere to risk assessments and placement plans and attend meetings and training sessions.
  • Support community activities and trips and engage in physical activities and lessons with young people.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people and comply with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Complete mandatory training and the required diploma Level 3.
  • Support other staff in therapeutic and educational activities.

Key Worker Responsibilities:

  • Get to know the young person well including their history strengths and needs.
  • Coordinate care and support the young person's personal requirement.
  • Improve the quality of life and help achieve agreed goals.
  • Maintain communication with family and stakeholders.
  • Launch reports and attend reviews on the young person's progress.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure your actions do not risk the health and safety of yourself or others.
  • Cooperate with the company to comply with safety laws.
  • Report any serious or imminent dangers and shortcomings in safety arrangements.
  • Do not misuse or interfere with safety equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualifications in Children’s Residential Care – preferred provided if necessary
  • Experience in Children’s Residential Care – preferred
  • Driving Licence – preferred

Please note, we do not offer sponsorship for this role and unable to support 20-hour sponsorships due to full-time hour requirements.

Shifts are 7am – 10pm, 7am – 3pm or 2pm – 10pm. 38 hours and 2 sleep ins per week are required.
