Do you have commercial experience within automated access, industrial doors, fire and security, hard FM or a closely related technical-services sector?

Our client is looking for a commercially driven Regional Account & Growth Manager with enough technical knowledge to understand customer requirements, identify opportunities and conduct initial site surveys. This is not a conventional account management role focused solely on maintaining existing relationships. You will be expected to actively grow a regional portfolio through new sites, service contracts, planned maintenance, projects and complementary service lines.

Working across the South and Midlands, you will develop relationships with procurement, estates, engineering, projects and contract management teams. You’ll combine a strong client presence with disciplined pipeline management, taking clear ownership of the opportunities you originate and progressing them from the initial conversation through to award.

Job Description

  • Build and maintain senior relationships within strategic customer accounts.
  • Create account growth plans covering key stakeholders, opportunities, risks and agreed next actions.
  • Identify new revenue through additional sites, planned maintenance agreements, projects and complementary services.
  • Proactively develop and manage a measurable sales pipeline rather than relying on incoming enquiries.
  • Visit and survey customer sites to understand requirements and help shape appropriate technical solutions.
  • Gain early visibility of tenders, frameworks, contract renewals and future procurement activity.
  • Coordinate input from estimating, operations and technical colleagues while retaining commercial ownership.
  • Follow up quotations consistently, lead commercial discussions and record the reasons behind wins and losses.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records covering pipeline value, tender dates, next actions, forecasts and outcomes.
  • Act as a senior commercial contact where an important customer relationship or future opportunity may be at risk.

Person Specification

  • Relevant commercial experience within automated access, industrial doors, fire and security, hard FM or an adjacent technical-services sector.
  • The technical credibility to discuss requirements with customers and conduct initial site surveys.
  • A proven record of generating revenue from existing accounts, including new sites, contracts or projects.
  • Confident developing relationships with procurement, estates, engineering and other senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially disciplined, with experience of CRM, pipeline management, tenders and quotation follow-up.
  • Proactive, accountable and comfortable working to individual revenue targets.
  • Full UK driving licence and a suitable base within the Midlands or South.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established technical-services business in a highly visible regional role with genuine scope to influence its growth. The package includes a salary of £50,000–£60,000, a £5,000 car allowance and realistic commission of £10,000–£15,000. If you have the relevant sector knowledge, strong commercial instincts and enjoy developing opportunities face-to-face with customers, please apply today.
