Our client is a well-established specialist engineering services provider working across the UK with a reputation for supporting high-profile commercial and infrastructure environments. Their work focuses on securing and maintaining access systems for major client sites, delivering responsive, high-quality engineering support where reliability and safety are critical.

Due to continued growth and increasing demand from their client base, they are looking to recruit an Auto Gates & Barriers Engineer covering the North West. The role will involve installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding on a range of automated gate and barrier systems. Engineers who can also support work on related systems such as industrial doors, shutters or similar access solutions would be particularly valued.

Job Description
  • Install, service and maintain automated gates and barrier systems at client sites
  • Diagnose and repair faults to ensure systems are returned to service quickly and safely
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair works
  • Liaise professionally with clients when arranging and completing works on site
  • Complete required documentation including reports, risk assessments and method statements
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and stock to ensure first-time fixes wherever possible
  • Follow all relevant health & safety procedures and safe working practices
Person Specification
  • Experience working with automated gates, barriers or similar access systems
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills within electro-mechanical equipment
  • Ideally multi-skilled with experience in industrial doors, shutters or related systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills when working with clients on site
  • Able to work independently and manage field-based responsibilities
  • Committed to maintaining high engineering and safety standards
