EFT Construction Ltd is a Northwest-based construction company delivering high-quality New Builds, Extensions, Refurbishments, Reactive Maintenance and Project Management services across the region.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a stable and well-established business with long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
They are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee construction projects across the North West. You will be responsible for managing project delivery from construction phase through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, strong health & safety awareness, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Typical site operating hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, although flexibility may occasionally be required to meet project demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate projects from construction phase through to completion and client handover
- Supervise site staff, labour and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress against programme deadlines
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality standards
- Liaise with clients and senior management throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
- Conduct site audits and inspections
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are implemented and followed correctly
- Produce and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
- Attend site progress meetings
- Monitor labour, materials and site resources effectively
- Ensure all works are signed off by the client upon completion
- Produce QA reports and Health & Safety files at final handover
- Identify and resolve onsite issues proactively
Requirements
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
- First Aid at Work
- Valid CSCS Card
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing construction contracts valued at £1m+
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and site operations
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Ability to motivate teams and maintain high standards onsite
