Location: Home-based – covering Yorkshire area
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (door-to-door paid) + on-call rota
Salary: Up to £37,000 + overtime + bonus + call out + door to door pay
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire & Security / Life Safety Systems Engineer
- Strong fault-finding and first-time fix capability
- Experience servicing, maintaining & commissioning fire and security systems
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Able to pass DBS check and BS7858 security screening
- IT competent (PDA, Microsoft Word & Excel)
The Role
Due to continued expansion, EFT Systems – an established life safety and security company who have been operating for over 50 years – is seeking an experienced engineer to support large service contracts and installation projects across the Yorkshire area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reactive maintenance and servicing of fire & security systems
- Small works installations and commissioning
- Managing van stock and ordering equipment
- Producing technical surveys to support quotations
- Supervising subcontractors and supporting apprentices
- Maintaining clear communication with customers
- Completing documentation via electronic PDA
Work will cover fire alarms, fire extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, emergency lighting and monitoring systems.
