Health & Safety Auditor Location: West Yorkshire / M62 Corridor – Hybrid & Field Based Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Package Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Auditor to join a well-established UK health, safety and compliance provider, supporting an established portfolio of clients across Yorkshire and the wider UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified Health & Safety and Fire Risk professional who enjoys being out on site, building relationships with clients and having the autonomy to manage their own diary. Around 80% of the client base is within the education sector, predominantly schools, alongside more complex environments including healthcare facilities, prisons, retail sites and shopping centres. The Role You will be responsible for: * Carrying out Health & Safety audits and safety assessments across client sites * Completing Fire Risk Assessments and associated checks in line with current legislation * Producing clear, practical and prioritised reports following site visits * Providing professional advice and communicating findings confidently with clients * Building long-term relationships with heads, business managers, senior stakeholders and site teams * Managing your own diary across Yorkshire and the M62 corridor * Undertaking occasional national travel when required This isn’t a high-volume auditing position. You’ll typically visit one site per day, giving you the time to complete thorough assessments, provide meaningful advice and develop strong relationships with your clients. What We’re Looking For To be considered, you will need: * Qualifications in both Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessment * Proven experience conducting on-site Health & Safety audits and assessments * Experience completing Fire Risk Assessments * Strong report-writing skills * A confident and personable approach when dealing with clients and senior stakeholders * A full UK driving licence * Flexibility to work in a field-based position Experience working within schools or the education estate would be advantageous, although this isn’t essential. Candidates from other complex environments such as healthcare, custodial, commercial property or retail are also encouraged to apply. Ideally, you’ll be based in West Yorkshire or within easy reach of the M62, allowing you to comfortably cover the regional client base. What’s on Offer? * £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary + package * Hybrid and field-based working * Predominantly Yorkshire-based territory * Established, ongoing client accounts * Typically one site visit per day * Autonomy to manage your own diary * Limited national travel * Permanent, full-time position Due to the nature of the client base, an enhanced DBS check may form part of the pre-employment process. If you’re an experienced Health & Safety professional with Fire Risk Assessment experience and you’re looking for a client-facing role offering autonomy, variety and an established portfolio of accounts, we’d be keen to hear from you.
