A well-established, Australian-owned equipment supplier with over 25 years of industry success is seeking an experienced area sales manager to drive growth across New South Wales within the forestry & organics sector. Operating across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, the business supplies world-leading screening, shredding, crushing and recycling equipment to mining, quarrying, forestry, compost and waste customers. Backed by strong OEM partnerships and a fully supported national spare parts and field service infrastructure, this organisation has built its reputation on trusted reliability and continued support. This is a unique opportunity for a UK-based sales professional to relocate to Australia and take ownership of a high-potential territory in a fast-moving, capital equipment environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead sales activity across NSW for mobile shredders, screening equipment, grinders, chippers, trommels and windrow turners.
- Develop new business opportunities within forestry, organics, waste and recycling markets.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, providing solution-based equipment recommendations.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial terms in consultation with senior leadership.
- Conduct regular customer visits and post-installation follow-ups to ensure performance and satisfaction.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, report on pipeline activity, competitor movements and lost sales analysis.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in capital equipment sales, ideally within forestry, recycling, aggregates, waste or heavy machinery.
- Degree qualified (BSc or equivalent) in Sales, Business, Marketing or a related commercial discipline preferred, or equivalent industry-based commercial experience.
- Solid technical understanding of screening, shredding or material handling equipment, with the ability to present solutions credibly to operators and decision-makers.
- Proven track record of winning new business and managing the full sales process from prospecting through to close.
- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously across a large geographic territory.
- Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling high-value, consultative sales discussions.
- Must be UK-based and willing to relocate to New South Wales, Australia.

- $110,000 – $130,000 per annum plus commission.
