Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking to appoint a committed and inspiring Economics Teacher to join a successful Social Sciences or Business department in a thriving secondary school and sixth form setting. NQTs as well as more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed to apply to join this very successful team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Economics teaching at Key Stage 5, with the potential to teach related Business Studies at Key Stage 4. The ability to make Economics engaging, relevant, and accessible to students of all abilities is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Economics at A-Level (Key Stage 5)
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively
  • Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes
  • Contribute to curriculum development within the department
  • Participate in departmental planning and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics (degree preferred in Economics or related field)
  • Ability to teach Business Studies is desirable
  • Passion for raising achievement and student engagement
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
