Graphite is a technology-enabled growth agency that helps fast-growing companies like Masterclass, Notion, and BetterUp unlock sustainable revenue through content, SEO, AEO, and paid media. We’re obsessed with impact: it’s foundational to who we are, why we’re successful, and how we approach delivering outcomes for clients and ultimately, everyone on the internet. We are a fully distributed company with team members located across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
We seek an experienced Growth Director (Paid Media) to lead paid growth strategies for high-growth tech companies. You will develop and execute full-funnel media, measurement, and creative strategies that drive business results for our partners, and build the paid team that delivers them. Success requires strong problem-solving skills, an AI-first way of working, and ownership of complex, large-scale programs. This opportunity is full-time and fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from home.
What you’ll do:
- Lead paid growth strategies for tech companies, managing $1M+ a month in spend across clients.
- Own full-funnel media plans across search, social, video and CTV, programmatic, and ChatGPT Ads, including channel expansion and investment scenario planning.
- Design each client’s measurement plan: tracking, geo-holdout and in-platform lift tests, and MMM calibration.
- Decide what is incremental.
- Set creative strategy and the testing roadmap, turning research and test results into concepts and briefs.
- Run accounts AI-first: use AI workflows for audits, pacing, reporting, and optimization, and override them when they are wrong.
- Present insights and outcomes to executives in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, linking paid results with SEO and AEO.
- Support hiring and lead the paid team by building the team, designing playbooks, and coaching them on how to run highly effective paid programs.
What expertise you’ll need:
- Paid Media: 7+ years of agency or in-house paid media experience, including $1M+ a month across multiple clients and channels.
- Full-Funnel Buying: Hands-on with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and programmatic (DV360 or similar). Owns forecasting, pacing, and budget allocation against business goals.
- Measurement: Has run lift tests end to end and acted on MMM readouts. Fluent in incrementality, attribution, KPI selection, and business economics.
- Creative Strategy: Has led creative strategy and testing programs, not only briefed them.
- AI Adoption: Uses LLMs daily and has built at least one AI workflow (audits, reporting, optimization, or creative) that saved the team real time.
- Data Analysis: Exceptional data analysis skills; comfortable in Looker, Sheets and storytelling.
- Leadership: Has managed and developed a team of paid marketers, with executive presence in front of VP and C-suite marketers.
How we’ll help:
- Process As Needed - We view the process as a way to empower better work, not as a series of dogmatic rules. We develop the best internal processes as we do products - through iteration, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Autonomy - We trust you to be excellent at what you do. We will provide as much support as needed when needed, but no more. You will have autonomy and agency to drive projects forward, and own decisions and outcomes.
- Flexible Work Environment - Everyone’s optimal work style is unique. We operate as a distributed team across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. We optimize for productivity and performance, not time spent in an office. Help us build an optimal work environment that fits you as an individual.
- Compensation - We want to work with the best people in the World and compensate accordingly.
