We need Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineers who can solve problems and lead a team to deliver secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks here at DWP.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Understanding of Service Management Framework e.g. ITIL
- Experience of Data Engineering and Manipulation
- Experience of operations management at an enterprise level
- Proven track record of leading teams
- Experience of working with senior key stakeholders in the organisation
You and your role
You will be leading and managing the operational support of IT solutions and services.
You can expect to lead and support third party provision of IT Operations services and provide expertise to programmes and projects, as well as the development of architectural solutions for technology.
You will lead Incident and Service Management with the resolution of critical major incidents/issues impacting live service and ensure all certificate renewals are completed on time.
This role is critical to ensure the prevention of security issues regarding the integration of HR and Finance data between systems and suppliers, including breaches in UK-GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Location: You\’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you\’ll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: For roles outside London the pay is £55,557. If you\’re based in London, the pay is £61,089.
Pension: You\’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £16,094 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You\’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
