What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Substantial experience of any module within ServiceNow.
- Track record of delivering value through the implementation of new or enhanced functionality into a large organisation in a ServiceNow context.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment either as part of a team or under your own initiative.
- Show leadership and take responsibility for areas of the platform.
- Show initiative when tackling issues, providing potential solutions where applicable.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of IT methodologies such as Agile.

You and your role
As a ServiceNow Developer in DWP, you will play a key role in expanding one of the largest ServiceNow installations in Europe. You will work within a collaborative delivery team to design, develop and implement new features and improvements across a wide range of ServiceNow modules used by over 120,000 colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality configuration and functionality, sometimes doing the work yourself, but also knowing when to escalate. You will create and maintain technical documentation, carry out peer reviews, and act as a subject matter expert within your specialist areas. The role also involves guiding and mentoring junior team members, finding solutions to problems, and contributing to an Agile, fast-paced environment. Supporting your professional growth, DWP will provide access to training to help you further develop your ServiceNow expertise.

- Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you will spend some time working at home (40%) and some time collaborating face to face in a hub (60%).
- Pay: We offer competitive pay for this role of up to £46,547, with a Digital Allowance of up to £5,895 available for exceptional candidates. Digital Allowance is non-salary, and non-pensionable, and is classed as a temporary allowance. It is reviewed annually where it could be retained, amended, or removed.
- Pension: You will get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth over £12,876 per year.
- Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You will also get all the usual public holidays.
