We are looking for a Senior IT Service Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to build and maintain innovative, scalable, and user-centric digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK at key moments in their lives.

As a Senior IT Service Manager, you will be defining and designing the support model for IT services across the DWP digital landscape, implementing robust support strategies that will ensure stability and performance for multiple platforms, products, and services. You will be a champion for best practice and a prominent voice in the wider digital community, driving innovation and change, as well as fostering effective and engaged relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • ITIL qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Proven management experience in large scale IT Live Service, layered multi-supplier organisations and services.
  • Experience of the successful delivery of strategies to support products and/or services.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with Senior Business Stakeholders to deliver services to meet business needs.
  • Proven experience of leading individuals and teams to deliver IT service excellence.

You will join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you. We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work and collaborate flexibly. We work a hybrid model - you'll be in the office about 60% of the time, and 40% home working. We offer competitive pay of up to £66,058. You'll also get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.9%, and a generous leave package starting at 26 days. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time.
