DWP Digital with Purpose. We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for our multi-disciplinary Product team as part of our DWP Mobile Products service, to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels and to lead, motivate and inspire teams to deliver high quality outcomes in a complex and fast paced environment.
- Significant experience designing, building, configuring and administering infrastructure technologies, integrations/solutions for Mobile Devices (iOS/Android) e.g. Workspace One/Intune.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Mobility Management software and principles, with experience in deploying, configuring and supporting mobile clients such as Apple iOS and Samsung Knox devices.
- Significant experience with Cloud Hosted infrastructure services within AWS and Azure, including knowledge of networking principles in a security conscious environment and an understanding of deploying infrastructure via pipelines using CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Azure / Entra ID / Intune configuration and policies, including knowledge of Identity principles, SSO and Certificate Based Authentication.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, own and manage problem records, including perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Proven demonstrative working knowledge of Change and Incident management principles working within the ITIL framework.

When a blip appears, you’re the one who dives in, investigating, troubleshooting and fixing issues before they ever reach the people who rely on these services to do their jobs.
But this role is far more than firefighting. As a Mobile Device Infrastructure Engineer, you help shape the future of DWP’s mobile services. You’ll design and refine solutions that keep devices secure, compliant and effortless to use, drawing on deep experience with tools like Intune, Workspace ONE and Samsung Knox. Working closely with your product team, you’ll influence key decisions and contribute ideas that drive improvements across one of the UK’s largest and most diverse tech estates.
Throughout the day, you’ll be the go-to expert, explaining how a configuration works, sharing insights, and keeping documentation clear and useful. You’ll work with suppliers, spot opportunities for improvement and keep a watchful eye on performance trends. And by the time you finish, you’ve helped keep a vast mobile ecosystem stable, secure and evolving, often solving problems no one even knew were coming.
Details, Wages and Perks
Location: You’ll join us in our brilliant digital hub in Blackpool, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is more convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £73,205.
Pension: You’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
