Lead Test Engineer – Graphics Unlimited (Vic) Pty Ltd

Pay: up to £90,267 plus 28.97% employer pension contributions.

Location: Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield. Hybrid working model – part home, part hub.

Responsibilities

• Embed quality early in the development lifecycle, delivering high‑quality products for Digital Payment Services.
• Set high standards for test frameworks and automation to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
• Mentor and inspire QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and full testing coverage.
• Track performance, manage defects, and introduce new technologies to keep the team ahead of the curve.
• Lead testing and quality assurance strategies for large‑scale digital services within a large government organization.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of QA and test methodologies, automation frameworks, and tools with hands‑on experience embedding quality early in the cycle.
• Experience managing and mentoring QA and test teams, fostering continuous improvement.
• Expertise in integrating Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) solutions and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience influencing governance boards and cross‑functional teams.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of QA best practices, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and standards.
• Proven leadership in test and quality assurance strategies across complex digital services at large scale.
