We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to join a growing team in protecting digital identities and tier zero assets in government.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Can demonstrate effective project controls to demonstrate the health of the projects they are responsible for and react accordingly to the information gathered.
  • Experience of building and managing effective stakeholder relationships to shape the outcomes of a project, considering different individual needs, views, and ideas.
  • Experience of building team dynamics and identifying ways to improve the way the team is working.
  • Communicate in a straightforward, honest, and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles and tools to maximise and check understanding and impact.
  • Can demonstrate they have taken full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of a number of different digital projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines).

You and your role

As a Digital Project Manager, you own full projects or sometimes parts of large-scale programmes. You make sure we\’re delivering quality, on time and in budget, working with agile teams of engineers, data experts, product owners, researchers and more

You will track and manage project progress and budget – that means quality, easy-to-understand reporting to senior project manager, influential stakeholders and/or governance boards.

You\’ll have a key role managing team dynamics – every here is driven to deliver for DWP users and you\’ll help them deliver together. You\’ll encourage collaboration and shared ownership across the team.

You\’ll also build and manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and suppliers, proactively identifying risks and issues and managing these.

Location: You\’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you\’ll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of £42,614.

Pension: You\’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £12,345 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You\’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
