Job Summary

We are seeking a Trust Doctor StR Higher in Neurosurgery. This contract is for 6 months with potential to extend to 12 months. Extension beyond this period is likely if progress is satisfactory. All applicants must possess the essential qualifications for the post as set out in the person specification by the closing date.

Main Duties

The South West Neurosurgery Centre is based at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. The unit is a Major Trauma Centre and provides a comprehensive Neurosurgical Service to the population of Devon and Cornwall. The population of this area is approximately 1.8 million, rising during summer months. Close links exist with district general hospitals in Truro, Barnstaple, Exeter and Torbay. The post offers excellent experience for aspiring neurosurgical trainees.
