To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administration service to the Arrhythmia Care Co-ordinators in an efficient and timely manner. This post is part of a professional multi-skilled team working across the clinical and administration services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage departmental and patient administration systems ensuring strict adherence and compliance to all Trust policies and procedures.
  • Provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Arrhythmia Care Co-ordinators.
  • Take responsibility for clinic admin preparation and distribution using digital dictation technology.
  • Handle telephone calls from parents/carers, GPs and other agencies, taking accurate messages and delivering them in a timely manner.
  • Prioritise own workload and maintain an up-to-date diary for the clinical team.
  • Sort and manage correspondence, keeping a satisfactory record and filing system for swift retrieval.
  • Provide administrative support for teaching, research, NHS medical reports, charities and publications, organising meetings, agendas and minutes.
  • Assist with improvement and presentation of data collection using appropriate computer software.
  • Ensure effective communication with all members of a multi-disciplinary team.
