To maintain and produce high standard of print quality as per company and customer requirements. Ensuring the efficient running and operation of the printing press.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and running of printing press inline with company targets
  • Liaise with Team Leader
  • Comply with all company processes and procedures
  • Actively promote 5s and Lean manufacturing in the Print Department
  • Work inline with Health and Safety instructions
  • Passing of own work
  • Reporting of any print related problems to Print Team Leader
  • Examine colour correctness, image and overall quality
  • Solve and correct problems that may occur wherever possible.
  • Make quick and appropriate press adjustments when required to avoid expensive loss of machine run time and materials.
  • Comply with quality control in line with ISO 12647-2
  • On occasions you may be required to run other machinery within the department dependent on the needs of the business.
  • Cooperate and assist in all aspects of Training & Development

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a print environment
  • Desirably posses a HNC/HND or equivalent in printing
  • Experience operating a lithographic printing press
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and targets
  • Quality conscious and efficient

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
  • Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to a varied and changeable workload
  • Punctual, presentable and with good attendance
  • Will be working under a very fast paced environment so you must be experienced in dealing with pressure and be highly organised with the ability to multi task and prioritise
