SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure Production Machinery is maintained & repaired to a high standard to enable maximum production speeds with minimum interruptions and breakdowns.
- To adhere at all times to health and safety regulations.
- To follow and adhere to planned maintenance programs.
- To fault find and repair equipment to a satisfactory standard.
- To undertake any machine adjustments within your capabilities.
- Maintain effective and appropriate communication with your colleagues at all times.
- To keep the Engineering Manager informed of any problems encountered with any process or equipment issues you are dealing with.
- Maintain and improve your job competence through compliance with any training the Company provides.
- To undertake training offered by the company relevant to your position or for the good of the company.
- To ensure an effective shift handover is undertaken with the oncoming shift.
- To ensure Maintenance & Service records are maintained.
- To devise, fabricate, and install improvements to Production Machines.
- As an experienced Electrician you will have at least 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing background.
- 17th Edition IEE regulation.
- Willing to do mechanical repairs and work with mechanical engineers or on own.
- PLC knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Manufacturing ideals and systems is desirable.
- Health and Safety qualification or experience.
- Highly responsible and conscientious.
- Good communicator.
- Reliable and flexible with strong work ethic.
- Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workload.
- Punctual, presentable and with good attendance.
- Will be working in a very fast-paced environment so you must be experienced in dealing with pressure and be highly organised with an ability to multi-task and manage one's own time.
- Pro-active and can-do attitude required.
- Works well in a team and on one's own.
