We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee two high-value mechanical installation projects within operational HM Prison Service establishments. You will take full ownership of delivery across both schemes, managing programme, budget, quality, and stakeholder relationships in a secure and regulated environment. Project values are in the region of 2m - 4m.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end-to-end mechanical project delivery across both sites;
- Managing subcontractors, supply chain, and site teams;
- Producing and maintaining detailed programmes;
- Reporting on cost, risk, and progress to senior management;
- Liaising with the Prison Service and client representatives;
- Ensuring all works comply with prison security protocols and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering mechanical projects of comparable value (2m - 5m+);
- Strong knowledge of M;
- Excellent stakeholder management skills;
- A methodical and proactive approach to programme and risk management;
- Ideally previous experience working within prisons, secure facilities, or occupied/live environments is advantageous;
- All successful candidates must be able to obtain HMPPS security clearance prior to commencing on site.
