Company: We are working with a well‑established and rapidly growing M&E contractor based in London, currently turning over circa £60m. The business specialises in delivering high‑quality commercial projects across the capital and is now entering a significant growth phase, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced MEP / M&E Buyer to join the team.
Role: As an MEP / M&E Buyer, you will play a key role within the commercial and procurement team, taking ownership of all MEP procurement activities across multiple live and upcoming projects. This is a full‑time, office‑based role (Monday to Friday), offering long‑term progression within a business that is scaling quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of all MEP/M&E packages across commercial construction projects
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating best‑value agreements
- Preparing and issuing enquiries, analysing returns, and making recommendations
- Working closely with project teams, commercial managers, and site teams
- Ensuring procurement is delivered in line with programme requirements
- Identifying cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Maintaining up‑to‑date supply chain knowledge within the M&E market
- Managing orders, contracts, and delivery schedules
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an MEP / M&E Buyer within construction
- Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical packages and supply chain
- Experience working on commercial projects
- Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ideally based within a commutable distance to London
