Job Title: Commercial Manager Location: Basingstoke (with occasional travel to London) Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum Our Client: They are a leading infrastructure engineering firm specialising in commercial and data-related projects, including data centres. With a strong portfolio of projects, including commercial ventures, data infrastruture related works, and one data centre, they deliver innovative solutions and maintain high standards of quality. As part of a renowned engineering group, they leverage extensive resources and expertise to ensure success in every endeavour Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Commercial Director of the Engineering Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring the commercial success of their projects and requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the commercial management of all live projects. * Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise profitability. * Manage contracts and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project success. * Prepare and present financial reports to senior management. * Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of projects. * Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the engineering or construction industry. * Strong understanding of commercial and contract management. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Willingness to travel to London as required.
