Our client is a well-established and highly respected M&E Engineering contractor, specialising in Commercial and Data Centre projects. To support this expansion, they are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Estimator to become a key part of their collaborative and forward-thinking estimating team.
The Role
You’ll play a pivotal role in securing future work by producing accurate, competitive estimates across a range of high-value projects. This is a hybrid position, offering up to two days per week working from home, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for commercial and data centre projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce accurate costings
- Carry out take-offs and measurements using Trimble software
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Work closely with pre-construction and project delivery teams to ensure compliant and commercially viable bids
What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector
- Strong expertise in commercial pipework systems and installations
- Proficiency with Trimble estimating software
- A detail-driven mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple tenders
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
