Job Summary

The Product Test and Diagnosis team requires more expertise and experience in the area of high-performance computer system hardware test as part of our mission to deliver the high-quality manufacturing test solutions that our advanced technology products require. The role requires close interaction with the hardware design team and other parts of the PTD team to define and develop appropriate test solutions that assure the quality of the hardware in the system.

The Team

The Product Test and Diagnosis team’s role is to detect and manage hardware defects that arise from the manufacture and use of our products. This covers chips, boards and finished systems and takes place both in the manufacturing sites and in the field.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Design and develop test software to support hardware testing throughout the product lifecycle.
  2. Conduct test coverage analysis and planning in line with overall test strategy and quality objectives.
  3. Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to deploy test solutions into production.
  4. Provide technical support to CM partners and create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  5. Support failure analysis for reliability issues and field returns to improve test coverage.
  6. Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop and implement solutions.
  7. Support manufacturing test solutions from New Product Introduction (NPI) through to high-volume production.
  8. Collect and analyse test results and other supporting data to make data-driven decisions.
  9. Work to root cause technical issues that span across both hardware and software.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  1. Experience in manufacturing test of advanced electronic systems.
  2. Good understanding of the fundamentals of electronics.
  3. Experience with Python, C/C++, Bash, and Git.
  4. Experience using the Linux command line.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams such as software, silicon design and hardware design.
  6. Ability to solve problems in complex electronic systems.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Desirable:

  1. Experience developing tests for high-speed interconnects (PCIe Gen5/6, Ethernet).
  2. Experience of microcontroller development/debug environments.
  3. Experience in both NPI and volume manufacturing test solutions.
  4. Several years of experience in a relevant environment.
  5. Basic data analysis skills.
  6. Experience with Assembly programming.
