We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and outstanding Geography specialist to join Granville Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Geography department, drive academic outcomes, and shape the future of geography education across our academies. Responsibilities

  • Being an outstanding practitioner in your specified subject area
  • Raising standards of progress and attainment so all pupils make expected levels of progress
  • Effectively supporting the Director of Learning to lead and manage teaching, learning, and assessment across the subject area
  • Planning, monitoring, and refining departmental action plans to secure continuous improvement
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment, including through work scrutiny and data analysis
  • Leading on the development of CPD within your subject area, including coaching and modelling best practice
  • Assisting with planning for all external examinations and managing the departmental budget and resources
