Surrounded by rolling countryside, The Grantley Arms is a historic, 17th-century country inn and restaurant, blending traditional warmth with exceptional dining at the heart of North Yorkshire. Boasting roaring open fires, real ales and characterful interior décor, The Grantley Arms has been reimagined into an exciting modern gastropub, elevating British classics with incredible local ingredients in a relaxed, timeless environment.
Purpose of the Role
We have fantastic opportunities to work in our new country inn and restaurant ensuring the smooth service and running of our restaurants. As a Waiter you will be delivering a high level of service to all of our guests.
- Delivering the concept and ethos to the required five star standards
- Be able to competently maintain the operation of the restaurant and bars during service
- To inspire and motivate your peers to deliver outstanding customer service
- Responsible for cash and stock security
- Pro-actively learn and know in detail our Food and Beverage offerings, being able to passionately describe and sell this to our guest
- Carry out the set up and breakdown of the restaurant
About You
- Hardworking, friendly, team player with a passion and enthusiasm for delivering authentic Yorkshire hospitality
- Previous experience of working in a large upscale, high volume restaurant and bar is preferred however full training will be provided
- Be presentable, personable with outstanding customer service skills
- To go above and beyond with all guests whilst supporting fellow team members with respect
